Jack Girardi Co-Host, The LawBusiness Insider, and Partner, Girardi Keese Law Firm
JOHN “JACK” A. GIRARDI, is the Co-Host of the nationally syndicated radio Show, The LawBusiness Insider for over 10 years, as well as a prominent trial lawyer and partner at Girardi | Keese. He has represented the interests of plaintiffs for over four decades and has tried over 100 civil jury and non-jury matters, representing the interests of individuals or businesses that have suffered a loss at the hands of another. He specializes in pharmaceutical litigation, employment, product liability including automobile design, government entity liability, negligence matters and class actions.
Jack has been honored as a Distinguished Alumnus of Loyola Law School where he serves on the Board of Overseers, Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, Southern California SuperLawyers since 2006 by Los Angeles Magazine and one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Southern California in the area of personal injury.
He has also been nominated for Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and the Consumer Attorneys of California. He has been recognized for his work as a volunteer mediator by the Los Angeles County Superior Court. He has received the Cahalan Award as an alumnus of his high school, Loyola High School of Los Angeles, where he has served on the Board of Directors since 2009 and is Chairman of that school's Sesquicentennial celebration committee.
Jack is one of the founding Board members of the Immigrant Justice Clinic at Loyola Law School. He also serves as President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Football Foundation, Co-Chair of the Advisory Board of Loyola Productions, Inc., is Board Secretary of the Pacific Institute for Community Organization and, since 2014, has served on the Board of Save the Children Action Network, a national organization advocating on behalf of children's issues.
Jack is involved with several other Boards while maintaining a full time practice of law. Jack and his wife, Denise, have two sons, Patrick, who is the Director of Player Personnel of the UCLA football staff and Vincent, a season ticket representative for the Denver Nuggets basketball team.
Education: Bachelor of Arts - University of Notre Dame, 1969 Juris Doctor - Loyola Law School of Los Angeles, 1972 Admitted into practice in California, December 1972 Nature of Practice: Civil trials including pharmaceutical liability, employment, product liability including medical device and automobile design, government entity liability, professional negligence, toxic tort litigation, bad faith, construction litigation and matters involving the sexual victimization of minors. Over 100 civil jury and non-jury trials; over 175 verdicts and settlements in excess of one million dollars; principal responsibility for handling litigation involving large groups of plaintiffs involving pharmaceutical litigation (In RE Zometa® litigation, MDL 1760)\ property damage (Grass Valley fire cases), toxic exposure (In RE Film Lab), construction defect (Schumaker v. Metropolitan Transit Authority) and sexual victimization of minors (Borbor v. Isabel Nursery School).
